SKU: MOD 90 Category:

The Defender pictured is a 300 TDI Defender 90 restored by us to a customers exact specification. The donor vehicle was supplied by us and was in a similar condition to the base vehicle shown in the photos

The customer instructed the Defender to be as traditional as possible to mimic his fathers old Defender. He had many happy memories from childhood and wanted to recreate the vehicle as a tribute to that for both him and his father to enjoy again but with a few modern twists to enhance their comfort.

It was painted in an iconic Land Rover colour, Epsom Green metallic with a traditional white roof. It had a full set of refurbished Rostyle white steel wheels fitted and the old fashioned, traditional style folding rear and side steps. The headlights and side lights were upgraded to LED lights taking advantage of the most up to date parts available.  LED work lights were also fitted to the rear of the vehicle to make attaching the family horse box easier in the darker months. The new lighting greatly improved driving visibility as well as the overall look of the vehicle but still in keeping with its traditional classic feel.

The interior was refurbished, keeping the customers  very specific brief in mind, as traditional in style for its age as much as possible, but with some discreet updated modern conveniences. New heated seats in original Techno fabric were fitted with an updated lockable cubby box  for security, this time with cup holders for their flasks on fishing trips. A heated front windscreen was added for frosty mornings.

A new black moulded matting system was installed in the front of the Defender to reduce both heat from the engine and road noise making for a more comfortable ride. Just for fun and the overall aesthetic an Evander Beech Wood Rim steering wheel was added, a timeless design, synonymous with British style and class. The final touch to the interior, the original gear shift and gaiter was replaced with a black alloy premium kit with white stitching, topped off with Stainless Steel knobs to match the steering wheel.

The vehicle had a full mechanical overhaul and had a galvanised chassis fitted, painted black to keep the original visual.

If you would like to design your own vehicle similar the one pictured or to your own exact specification, this Ex MOD Defender shown would make a great base vehicle as it has a 300 TDI engine, probably the most reliable engines Land Rover ever made and now one of the most sought after.

This Defender could be painted and designed to your own exact requirements, whatever colour or specification that may be.

The base vehicle advertised is  currently unregistered as it is direct from the MOD but comes with all the relevant paperwork needed to register it for road use, a process we can deal with for you.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss further please give us a call.

The final price is subject to VAT at 20%
